Deutsche Bahn is expanding its services for the Leipzig Book Fair. What this means for travel from Hamburg, Munich or Dresden.

Leipzig (dpa/sn)- During the Leipzig Book Fair, long-distance trains will once again stop at the Leipzig Trade Fair. Visitors can get off directly at the Leipzig Messe stop on all four days of the fair, as announced by Deutsche Bahn. On the routes to Hamburg, Munich and Frankfurt, among others, travelers can use selected ICE and IC connections for arrival and departure.

The railroad is running a special train for travelers from Dresden. The train departs from the main station at 08:30 on Saturday and Sunday. Further stops are Riesa, Oschatz and Wurzen. At 5.44 p.m., the special train will depart from Leipzig Messe and return to Dresden. Local transport tickets are valid on the train.
