The Kosmos Festival attracted around 70,000 visitors last year. It will be back for another edition in June. The first items on the program have now been announced.

The Kosmos Festival in Chemnitz is going into extra time this year and has announced the first items on the program. These include a performance by the pop band Juli ("Geile Zeit", "Perfekte Welle"). Rapper Disarstar, indie pop duo Lena & Linus and singer-songwriter Ami Warning have also been announced.

The festival is part of Chemnitz's program as European Capital of Culture 2025 and will be held at Chemnitz Schlossteich, but other locations will serve as satellites. In addition to concerts, podiums and a mile of initiatives are planned, where associations and organizations will provide information about their work.

The Democracy Festival goes back to the #wirsindmehr concert following right-wing extremist riots in summer 2018. According to the organizers, it attracted around 70,000 people last year with performances by Silbermond, Culcha Candela and Boys Noize, among others. This year, the Democracy Festival will take place over three days for the first time: from June 13 to 15. Admission is free of charge.
