35 years ago, Matthias Reim landed a huge hit with "Verdammt ich lieb' dich", and to mark the occasion, the pop musician is going on an anniversary tour in 2026. The tour starts on May 23 at the Junge Garde open-air stage in Dresden, according to an announcement. The 67-year-old pop singer will be touring Germany until December 30 next year. The title of the tour is "Matthias Reim - 35 years of "Verdammt ich lieb' dich"".
Stops in 2026 include the Parkbühne in Leipzig (August 1), the Barclays Arena in Hamburg (October 3), the Lanxess Arena in Cologne (October 4) and the Uber Arena in Berlin (December 28).
Fans can look forward to all the songs from the debut album
35 years ago, Reim laid the foundations for his uniquely successful career with "Verdammt, ich lieb' dich" and his debut album "REIM", the organizers added. His debut has since sold more than 1.5 million copies. Fans can look forward to all ten songs on the album, which will be played in full length and in the same order as on the debut.
The 67-year-old, who can look back on an eventful life with highs and lows, currently lives on Lake Constance. Reim became a star in 1990 with his hit "Verdammt, ich lieb' dich". His other successful songs include "Du bist mein Glück" and "Ich hab' geträumt von dir". The musician's Instagram page says the following about the planned tour: "Let's have an unforgettable time together!"
