On Saturday, May 10, the Tolerade 2025 will roll through Dresden. The tenth anniversary edition of the dance demonstration will be dedicated to inclusion, diversity and freedom - and will take a meaningful route through the Saxon state capital.
Start at Neustadt station: off we go with a clear signal
Tolerade 2025 begins at 2 pm sharp with a kick-off rally at Dresden-Neustadt station. The Tolerave organizers and participants are already sending a strong signal here: for tolerance, cultural diversity and against exclusion. The route of this year's parade was chosen deliberately - it crosses symbolic places in the city in order to carry the political message directly into the center of public space through music and dance.
Over the Marienbrücke bridge into the heart of the city
After the start, the colourful protest march, accompanied by loud electro beats and decorated trucks, crosses the Marienbrücke bridge into Dresden's old town. There, the demonstrators pass the Saxon State Parliament and make the demands for participation and equal rights visible at a political level. The route continues via Postplatz and Prager Straße - central axes of urban life.
Stopover at Cockerwiese with rally
At around 5.15 pm, the procession reaches Cockerwiese. Another rally is planned here, at which numerous initiatives from Dresden and Saxony will present themselves. For about an hour, speeches will be held at this stopover, issues will be presented and, of course, dancing will continue. The route has been deliberately chosen to be slow so that people with walking disabilities or in wheelchairs can also participate without barriers - a strong sign of inclusion in action.
Return route via Albertbrücke to Neustadt
The route will then continue past St. Benno-Gymnasium, Albertbrücke, the State Chancellery and along Königsbrücker Straße to the industrial area. The event is scheduled to end at around 9 pm. During this time, there will be temporary road closures along the route and restrictions on public transport. The organizers are calling for consideration and support for the cause.
The Tolerade will take place for the tenth time in 2025 and sees itself as a creative counter-project to exclusion and intolerance. Organized by the Tolerave association in collaboration with around 40 associations, initiatives and music groups, it is directed against discrimination of any kind.
