The restaurant "Kastenmeiers" in the Taschenbergpalais in Dresden not only offers excellent culinary experiences for its guests, but also outstanding training for future top chefs and restaurant specialists. The acquisition of a second flambé trolley will further enhance the quality of training, as trainees will have the opportunity to learn and perfect cooking and flambéing directly at the table.
From August, "Kastenmeiers" will once again be training restaurant specialists itself. Gerd Kastenmeier, the owner of the restaurant, is proud that his employee Janina Hartwig has successfully passed her trainer aptitude test. "Now we can start with our own trainees in the restaurant area!" says Kastenmeier. Working with the flambé trolley is an important part of the vocational training and offers the trainees the opportunity to learn this special service for guests.

Janina Hartwig, who herself completed her training as a hotel specialist at the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden, has known the "Kastenmeiers" since her training days. She has been a permanent employee at Kastenmeiers since August 2022 and now works as a restaurant supervisor. She emphasizes the importance of practical training: "The fact that our trainees can practice cooking and flambéing at the table is a great advantage. This guest service has always been part of vocational training, but is offered in fewer and fewer restaurants."
