A double windfall in the Eurojackpot lottery has brought two big prizes to Saxony. A player from Dresden and a player from the district of Zwickau each won around 4 million euros in the draw on Tuesday evening, according to the Saxon lottery company. Both winners are still unknown because they submitted their picks in the traditional way on lottery tickets and without customer cards at lottery retailers. They must now contact Lotto.
It is an extraordinary event for Sachsenlotto that these sums were won twice in one draw, explained Managing Director Frank Schwarz. In addition to the two Saxons, players from Thuringia, North Rhine-Westphalia and Norway were also successful in the second prize category. However, a Czech player had the best luck: he hit the Eurojackpot filled with 120 million euros.
This year, four Saxon lottery players have already won millions. At the end of March, around 1.1 million euros went to the Erzgebirge district in the "6 out of 49" lottery. In mid-May, another Dresden player was also successful in the Eurojackpot and won €1.65 million.
