Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn is expanding its train service for the Capital of Culture Marathon in Chemnitz. What is changing?

To mark the European Capital of Culture Marathon, more trains will be running between Hohenstein-Ernstthal and Chemnitz on Sunday. The Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn (MRB) announced that additional trains will run on the RB 30 line between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., which, together with the regular trains, will result in an approximately half-hourly frequency.

The additional trains reportedly stop at all intermediate stops. The additional services are intended to make it easier to travel to and from the event site.
