Saxony is exhibiting at the CES electronics trade fair in Las Vegas and presenting itself as a high-tech location. A trip to Silicon Valley is then planned to establish business contacts.

Saxony will be exhibiting at the CES electronics trade fair in Las Vegas this week. It is one of the largest trade fairs of its kind in the world. The Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS) wants to present the Free State as a high-tech location together with four companies, it announced on Sunday. A trip with 15 Saxon companies to Silicon Valley near San Francisco is then planned from January 14 to 18. The aim is to establish business contacts.

"As Saxony's second most important export country, the USA is a strategically important market as well as a business and cooperation partner. In addition, the Free State is interesting for investors from the USA due to its great innovative strength as a high-tech location," explained WFS Managing Director Thomas Horn. The company also wants to use its presence at the CES to bring Saxony even more into focus as a semiconductor location.
