On average, full-time employees in Saxony earned just under 3,990 euros gross per month last year. This was announced by the State Statistical Office in Kamenz. In the previous year, the average earnings were just under 3,800 euros, according to an earlier announcement by the statisticians. This figure does not include special payments such as vacation or Christmas bonuses.
The lowest pay last year was received by employees in the hospitality industry at around 2,700 euros gross per month and in agriculture, forestry and fishing at just under 3,000 euros. In comparison, full-time employees in energy supply earned around 5,110 euros and in education and teaching just under 5,130 euros.
