The construction company Goldbeck has expanded its sheet metal production in Treuen. In addition to a new production hall, an office extension has also been built, the company announced at the opening on Thursday. According to the company, it produces steel construction elements, roof and façade parts through to complete façades in Vogtland. The site employs around 1200 people, it said. The new machines will reduce sheet metal waste. "With the new hall, we are also doubling our production capacity," explained the Managing Director of Goldbeck Europe GmbH, Lars Luderer.

The Bielefeld-based company declined to provide an exact investment amount when asked. Goldbeck builds logistics and industrial halls as well as office and residential buildings, among other things. In the 2022/23 financial year, 573 projects with a volume of 6.7 billion euros were realized. The company currently has more than 12,000 employees at 100 locations in Europe.
