Elbe floods: Alert level 1 lifted in Dresden

In Dresden, the flood alert level 1 for the Elbe river was lifted on Friday. The water level had fallen below the guideline value of four meters in the morning, the city announced. At around 11 a.m. on Friday morning, the measured value was 391 centimetres. The city did not expect the water level to rise again in the coming days. Alert level 1 has been in force in the state capital since Wednesday, February 7. This is the lowest of four alert levels in Saxony.
