After the frustrating semi-final exit in front of their home crowd, the Syntainics MBC at least consoled themselves with third place in the Final Four of the European North Basketball League (ENBL). In the Stadthalle Weißenfels, the team of Head Coach Milenko Bogicevic beat the defending champions CSP Voluntari, who also failed to reach the final round, by 92:76 (56:37).
In the semi-final against Manchester Basketball, the club from Weißenfels had also dominated the game for a long time and looked like the sure winners. The hosts extended their lead against Voluntari after an early 5:0. The two teams were separated by a whopping 19 points at the break - in favor of the MBC. The visitors appeared to close the gap in the third quarter, but could not get any closer than 12 points. In the end, it was a clear affair.
