Third-division soccer club Dynamo Dresden will have to face record winners Chemnitzer FC in round three of the Saxony Cup. This was the result of the draw in Leipzig. The CFC, who have already won the competition twelve times, have the right to play at home as a regional league team.
The two previous year's finalists Dynamo and league rivals Erzgebirge Aue will only now enter the action in round three. The third round will be played on October 12/13, 2024.
Third-division leaders Aue kick off the competition with a local clash at VfB Annaberg. FSV Zwickau have to play at Oberliga club SC Freital. 1. FC Lok Leipzig face TSV Rotation Dresden, while Chemie Leipzig visit SG Weixdorf.
