Dynamo Dresden's loan player Robin Meißner will remain with VfL Osnabrück. This is made possible by a purchase obligation stipulated by both clubs, which applies due to the promotion of Lower Saxony to the 2nd Bundesliga.
"We have observed Robin throughout the season and followed his sporting development in Osnabrück. In this case, it was an absolute win for both Robin and VfL," said Dynamo's sporting director Sören Gonther.
Meissner is an "excellent fit" for the VfL game
The 26-year-old Meissner moved to Dresden from Hamburger SV in the summer of 2023. The striker played a total of 69 competitive matches for the Saxons, in which he contributed 15 goals and 8 assists. In 2025, he was promoted to the Bundesliga 2 with Dynamo. Now he has made it with Osnabrück.
"Robin has shown from day one that he is an excellent fit for our game and our club. He works hard for the team, can be deployed flexibly and brings quality to the final third. That's why we're delighted that we've been able to tie him down to VfL," said VfL Director of Professional Football Joe Enochs.
