End of the curse: Dresden achieves first home win

Anfang's return to his former stomping ground

On the return of coach Markus Anfang to his former stomping ground, both teams put in rather below-average performances before the break. The game had little fire and both teams acted anxiously. In addition, there were many misunderstandings and lack of concentration, particularly in Dynamo's midfield.

The fact that the Saxons still went into the break with a lead was partly due to the visitors' lack of chances, with headers from Cedric Itten (25th/40th) either missing the target or only hitting the far post.
