Dynamo Dresden ended their home curse and won at home for the first time in this second division season. They beat Fortuna Düsseldorf 2:0 (1:0) to lift the Saxons out of the relegation places. Alexander Rossipal (45') had put the home side ahead and former Düsseldorf player Vincent Vermeij (54') extended the lead in front of 30,817 spectators. Christian Rasmussen (84') then managed to tie the scores.
In injury time, Aljaz Casar had to replace the apparently seriously injured Lennart Grill in the Dynamo goal as Dresden's contingent of substitutes had been exhausted. Fortuna now have to look even further down the table after the defeat and are now just one point ahead of the relegation zone.
