Dynamo Dresden are back at the top of the third division table. With a 3-0 (2-0) away win against SC Verl, the Saxons overtook SV Sandhausen, who are level on points. Robin Meißner (13') put the Black & Yellows on the road to victory. Christoph Daferner (45' +2/62') added to his tally shortly before half-time and midway through the second half, with coach Thomas Stamm making three changes to his starting XI compared to the previous week. Instead of Lemmer, Menzel and Kutschke (all bench), Marx, Sapina and Meißner started. The latter put his colors ahead early on. Before that, the hosts had two chances to score the first goal. Verl remained the more active team afterwards. Dynamo defended cleverly and took advantage of a mistake by Verl goalkeeper Schulze to make it 2-0 at the break.
As in the first half, the underdogs continued to dominate the game after the break. A lack of penetration in attack and a strong SGD goalkeeper Tim Schreiber prevented a possible equalizer. After a handball, Daferner converted from the spot to secure the final score.
