After the last-minute defeat in Bielefeld, Dynamo Dresden will now make another attempt at early promotion to the second division away from home. Coach Stamm is not changing his approach.

After Dynamo Dresden's own-goal drama in Bielefeld, they are now aiming to make an early leap into the 2nd Bundesliga in Mannheim. "Whether it's against the runners-up in the table or against a team at the bottom, we have no other approach," said coach Thomas Stamm ahead of the penultimate point game in league three this Saturday (14:00/MagentaSport/MDR) at Waldhof Mannheim. Dynamo will be accompanied by 3,800 fans.

Stamm believes the opponents are "a very strong transition team. We are really looking forward to the game in Mannheim. Both teams have something at stake". The relegation-threatened club recently won 4:2 at promotion candidates Energie Cottbus and climbed to a non-relegation place in the table. With the win, Mannheim's new coach Dominik Glawogger celebrated his first three-pointer in his fourth game in charge. However, the team is only ahead of Borussia Dortmund II and VfB Stuttgart II due to its better goal difference.

Another public viewing in Dresden

As in the previous week, another public viewing will take place in Dresden at the Junge Garde, which was sold out with 4,300 visitors within a short space of time. 4,000 black and yellow supporters braved the rain during the Bielefeld game last Saturday before the near-celebrations came to an abrupt end with the equalizing goal. Admission is from 12.00 noon, two hours before kick-off of the game in Mannheim.
