The 15th City Biathlon will be held in Dresden. The organizers announced this on Tuesday. On September 15, ten of the world's best women and ten of the world's best men will be competing in the Saxon state capital. The names of the participants will be announced on June 24. Last year, Lisa Vittozzi from Italy and Norway's Sturla Holm Lægreid won the competition in Püttlingen, Saarland.
The new Heinz Steyer Stadium, where the shooting range is located and 3500 spectators can be seated, is the center of the event. The run - on roller skis - goes from the stadium towards the city center past the congress center and state parliament to Theaterplatz. The return route is via the Elbe cycle path.
