The battle to stay in the 2nd Bundesliga remains a waiting game for 1. FC Magdeburg and Dynamo Dresden. After Sunday's matches and FCM's 3:1 win in Kiel, it is clear that coach Petrik Sander's team can no longer be relegated directly. The same applies to Dynamo, despite their 2-1 defeat in Braunschweig.
On the final matchday, Magdeburg will only need a point against 1. FC Kaiserslautern to be sure of staying up. Dresden, on the other hand, must win against Kiel with only a two-point lead over Arminia from Bielefeld, who are in the relegation places.
