Erzgebirge Aue manages to break free in the 3rd division. Omar Sijaric in particular shines at the goal festival in Sandhausen.

FC Erzgebirge Aue have ended their sporting crisis. The team led by interim coach Jörg Emmerich won 6:4 (3:1) at SV Sandhausen. The goal festival was a liberating blow for the Saxons, who had lost seven of their last ten league games. Coach Jens Härtel will take over the team from Saxony on January 2.

Omar Sijaric (26th minute, 41st, 58th), Kilian Jakob (31st), Ali Loune (70th) and Sean Seitz (77th) scored for Aue.
