The Semper Opera Ball in Dresden wants to whisk its guests away to Italy next year. Under the motto "Vivi il momento - A night in Florence on the Elbe", Mediterranean lifestyle will be celebrated: "Live the moment". "Dresden is not called the Florence on the Elbe for nothing. The architecture, art and cultural charisma of our city have linked us with Italy and Florence in particular for centuries," explained Gerhard Müller, Chairman of the Semper Opera Ball Association.
In addition to the motto, the team also presented the debutante dress for the ball. It bears the signature of Dresden designer Dorothea Michalk. "This time she presents a gown in bright lagoon blue, inspired by the colors of the Mediterranean and the Italian coastal landscape. The dress will continue to be produced in the Ore Mountains and is therefore completely 'made in Saxony'," emphasized the organizer. "The dress is intended to reflect the elegance and lightness of Italy and at the same time show the high level of craftsmanship that we have here in Saxony," emphasized designer Michalk.
