Free toys for elementary school: The association "More time for children" is looking for the best suggestions in a competition to integrate play more into everyday school life, as announced by the Saxon Ministry of Culture. The prize is a free set of toys.
Until June 1, 2026, elementary school and committed parent and support associations can apply with an idea paper. According to the information provided, the project is based on the findings of modern brain research that children learn by playing and is supported by the ministries of education of all 16 federal states.
According to the Ministry of Education, the competition is now in its 17th year. In recent years, 310 educational institutions from Saxony have won materials for a playroom. The competition has existed since 2007 and was launched together with the ZNL TransferCenter for Neuroscience and Learning.
