The newly elected mayor of the municipality of Hermsdorf in the Ore Mountains has been delayed due to a mishap. The municipality had failed to publish the election results of the mayoral election in the official gazette, according to the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains. However, this is one of the requirements for a valid municipal election. The announcement is to be made at the beginning of January. If there are no objections, Mayor Karsten Friedrich could take up his new office with a delay of around three weeks.
