According to the report, around 6,550 people could potentially be assigned to the right-wing extremist scene in the Free State in 2025. In the previous year, the "person potential", as the report puts it, was still around 6,000. The report states that right-wing extremist ideas have now moved far into the center of society. "If right-wing extremist symbols remain unchallenged in the classroom or on the school playground, this is an expression of a progressive normalization of anti-constitutional positions and at the same time an indication of the continuing rejuvenation of members of the scene," emphasized Schuster. According to the report, however, the number of crimes with a right-wing extremist background has fallen compared to the previous year - from more than 3,900 to 3,263.
