Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer has spoken to the bishops of the Catholic and Protestant churches in Saxony to promote greater cohesion in society. "What we need most now is to focus on the "we"," said the CDU politician after a meeting in Dresden. "It has to be about us coming together, because only then can we solve the major challenges we face."
The Minister President and his government regularly meet with representatives of the churches in Saxony during the Advent season. Last year, the meeting was canceled due to the formation of the government. Kretschmer spoke of an important meeting that was considered very valuable by the state government.
