Saxony's Transport Minister Regina Kraushaar (CDU) has spoken out in favor of the continuation of the Deutschlandticket. "We want the Deutschlandticket to be continued and for the federal government to contribute at least half of the funding in the long term," Kraushaar told the German Press Agency. The CDU and SPD had expressly agreed on this in the coalition agreement for the current legislative period.
"Our municipal authorities rightly expect a clear perspective on the continuation of the Deutschlandticket," emphasized Kraushaar. This requires "a reliable funding commitment from the federal government as quickly as possible".
