In the first six months of the coming year, the Kulturstiftung Sachsen is funding 193 art and culture projects with around 1.9 million euros. As the foundation announced in Dresden on Friday, the projects relate to the performing arts and music (85 projects), visual arts (26), socioculture (20), film (19), interdisciplinary projects (16), literature (14) and industrial culture (13). The cultural foundation had previously received around 440 applications for funding totaling around 5.4 million euros.
The project sponsors receiving funding include the "WinterBühne im Schloss 2024" music theatre festival organized by the Fürst-Pückler-Park Bad Muskau development association, the "Kästnerverse" event series organized by the Erich Kästner Haus für Literatur in Dresden and the 4th International Porcelain Biennale.
