Saxon BSW politician Marcel Machill has to justify himself for using an office room at Leipzig University for party purposes. According to the report, the journalism professor held such an event in his office at the beginning of January. The Greens accuse him of violating his duty of neutrality and have initiated an investigation into the case by means of a minor interpellation.

"The unauthorized party event in his offices casts considerable doubt on the correct separation of university official duties and Prof. Dr. Machill's private political activities," explained MP Claudia Maicher. This is a clear violation of the house rules of Leipzig University.
