BSW in Saxony does not believe in the AfD ban debate

Following the classification of the federal AfD as definitely right-wing extremist, the BSW does not believe in a ban debate. The AfD must be deprived of its breeding ground through a change in policy, said Sabine Zimmermann, chairwoman of the BSW in Saxony, according to a statement. "The strength of the AfD is due to the bad policies of the last 15 years".

The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution had previously classified the AfD as a confirmed right-wing extremist party. In three eastern German states - Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt - the respective state association was already classified as confirmed right-wing extremist.
