14,000 people have already participated in the vote on the designs for the new Carola Bridge in Dresden. According to the state capital, the vote has been proceeding without incident since it began a little over three weeks ago. A statement said there have been no indications of fraudulent multiple entries so far.
The “carolaVOTE” online survey on the four submitted designs will remain open until July 19. Participants are also asked to provide feedback on individual aspects of the designs. According to the information provided, not only residents but anyone interested—including commuters and visitors—can participate. There is no age restriction. A public exhibition at the Stadtforum provides information about the submissions through visualizations and models.
According to the city, the votes will be evaluated starting July 20. Votes will be analyzed in compliance with data protection regulations and checked for plausibility to rule out potentially abusive voting behavior, such as multiple submissions. The results will first be submitted to the city’s advisory committee.
