The Dresden Augustus Bridge will be inspected as planned from today. Until Friday, the experts will first examine the arches over the Elbe for cracks, spalling, defects and moisture penetration, as announced by the state capital. A so-called push boat and a cherry picker will be used so that the inspectors can get close enough to the bridge arches, facings and parapets.
Short-term detour in the coming week
Work on the arches over the Terassenufer and the Elbe cycle path will continue in the coming week. Traffic will therefore be temporarily diverted. There should be no restrictions for pedestrians and cyclists.
