The Saxon CDU parliamentary group leader can now call himself "Mister 100 percent". All members of the parliamentary group voted for the trained police officer in his re-election.

The CDU parliamentary group in the Saxon state parliament has confirmed its leadership and elected parliamentary group leader Christian Hartmann (52) unanimously. Sören Voigt remains First Deputy Chairman and Parliamentary Secretary, the parliamentary group announced. The same applies to Jan Löffler as Vice-Chairman and Treasurer and Sandra Gockel as a further Vice-Chairman. The largest parliamentary group in the state parliament is thus sending a clear signal of continuity, it said.

"This personnel continuity in the parliamentary group's executive committee is our foundation for now entering the upcoming budget consultations in a united and focused manner. We know how difficult the tasks are," said Hartmann. The consolidation of the budget and the necessary modernization of the state would require real creative power.
