Less funding for integration projects: The Saxon Refugee Council warns of serious consequences for refugees and society.

The Saxon Refugee Council (SFR) has criticized the cancellation of numerous integration projects. Of 91 applications, only 21 were earmarked for funding and instead of the expected more than six million euros, only three million were available, the association announced. The consequences are catastrophic - both for refugees and for society as a whole.

The rejection of the SFR's Saxony-wide offer means that there is a lack of orientation and information for refugees, professionals and volunteers, emphasized Angela Müller, Managing Director of the Saxon Refugee Council. This would further isolate groups already pushed to the fringes of society, shatter understanding and common coexistence and widen the rift in social interaction.
