On International Children's Day, the Left Party has called for more investment in good living conditions for children and young people. One example is daycare funding. "It is well known that the foundations for good prospects are laid with early childhood education," emphasized Juliane Nagel, member of the state parliament.
There is therefore a need for modern funding for daycare centers that improves their quality and relieves the burden on local authorities. Despite falling birth rates, it must be ensured that nurseries are maintained in the area.
According to the Left Party, young people must also be given better opportunities to actively participate. This includes voting in local and state elections from the age of 16.
