Sebnitz artificial flowers and porcelain production in a manufactory are among the cultural forms that Saxony is proposing for inclusion in the nationwide intangible cultural heritage. According to applications from the Free State, fan culture at the Sachsenring and parkour sport should also be included in this nationwide list, announced Culture Minister Barbara Klepsch (CDU).
Sebnitz has an almost 200-year tradition in the production of artificial flowers, which is continued today in the Schaumanufaktur Deutsche Kunstblume. The application for porcelain production came from the Porcelain Foundation in Meissen. It is reminiscent of the hard porcelain invented in Saxony in 1708 - the first real porcelain in Europe.
The Sachsenring, with its motorcycle races, shapes the identity of the region around Hohenstein-Ernstthal and Oberlungwitz. A Dresden association and the German Parkour Association are behind the application for parkour.
