Good atmosphere even without the magic of soccer: the Kreuzchor, the Kapellknaben and other ensembles and soloists thrilled thousands of fans at the Advent concert in Dresden's Rudolf Harbig Stadium. The show was not least a feast for the eyes: more than 250 Herrnhut stars adorned the stadium, lasers and other lighting effects made the arena sparkle.
Nik P. and Sasha provide hits and pop
Hit singer Nik P. from Austria sang "Last Christmas" in German. Horn player Felix Klieser played Handel's "Daughter of Zion". The musician was born without arms and learned to operate the valves with the toes of his left foot. Pop singer Sasha also made an appearance and brought along his favorite Christmas songs.
The main musical acts were the Dresden Kreuzchor and the Dresdner Kapellknaben, as well as the MDR children's choir and the musical workshop "Oh-Töne". Presenter Ella Endlich could be heard singing "Süßer die Glocken nie klingen", among others.
