The spring cleaning in Saxony's historic castles and gardens is done, and now the season is about to start in many places. Castles such as Mildenstein, Kriebstein and Gnandstein will open their doors again from April 1st, as announced by Schlösserland Sachsen. Moritzburg Castle will be showing its baroque exhibition with leather wallpaper and the Feather Room again at the start of spring. In the gardens, the time of the early bloomers is upon us. There are 8,000 plants in the beds of the Grosssedlitz Baroque Garden. They can be viewed from April 1. Altzella Monastery Park opens its season on April 5 with a medieval spectacle. The monastery celebrates its 850th anniversary in 2025. In March and April, Schloss Wackerbarth invites you to the sparkling wine spring with the first delicate green of the new vintage.
