Schools in Saxony are set to receive less funding for full-day programs over the next two years than they have in the past. The Full-Day School Association and the Teachers’ Association have called on the Free State to adequately secure and increase funding for these programs. According to the draft two-year budget for 2027–2028, 30 million euros are to be allocated annually for all-day programs. In 2024, the figure was 45 million euros; in 2025 and 2026, it will be 35 million and 33 million euros, respectively.
