Healthy snacks from your own school garden? Saxon schoolchildren are focusing on creativity and are now getting a real boost from the state.

There are currently around 150 student companies registered in Saxony. Some of them are responsible for providing food during breaks, with a particular focus on healthy eating, according to the Ministry of Education. Several student companies are planning to grow their own produce, offer natural products or save food from going to waste. There are also a large number of creative business ideas in the areas of crafts and handicrafts

The Ministry of Culture is supporting 39 student companies this school year with a total of 34,443 euros. With up to 1,000 euros per company, the company can be further expanded or the money can be used as start-up capital.
