On her way back from vacation, a woman from the Zwickau district found out she had won millions in the lottery. When she heard that a prize was going to the Zwickau district, she immediately thought, “It worked out this time,” she said during the winner’s interview, according to a statement from Sächsische Lotto-GmbH in Leipzig. She had an immediate gut feeling. According to the report, the woman had won more than four million euros together with her mother in a Eurojackpot drawing in May.
Million-Euro Win in Dresden Not Yet Claimed
There was also a million-euro win in Dresden in the May drawing. However, this prize has not yet been claimed, Sachsenlotto reported. According to the report, the ticket was purchased shortly before the deadline and was valid only for the draw at the end of May.
“Perhaps the ticket is still sitting at home, unchecked, while the new millionaire is still relaxing and enjoying everyday life—without realizing that more than four million euros have been waiting for them for quite some time,” said a spokeswoman for Sachsenlotto.
This year, four lottery players from Saxony have already won millions. At the end of March, around 1.1 million euros went to the Erzgebirgskreis in the “6 out of 49” lottery. In mid-May, a Dresden resident also won the Eurojackpot, taking home 1.65 million euros.
