Overhead line damage caused disruption on the line between Leipzig and Dresden. The railroad has given the all-clear: traffic is possible again without restrictions.

Traffic on the railroad line between Leipzig and Dresden is running smoothly again after overhead line damage on Thursday morning. On Wednesday evening, there had been massive disruptions on the important connection between the two largest cities in Saxony because the line between Riesa and Oschatz had been damaged, a spokesperson for the railroad told the German Press Agency. The "Sächsische Zeitung" had previously reported.

According to Deutsche Bahn, the affected line was successfully repaired shortly before midnight, so there is no impact on morning commuter traffic.
