The Autobahn 14 near Halle has been reopened to traffic after a two-day full closure. "The work was completed today, Sunday, on schedule and faster than expected," explained a spokeswoman for the federal highway company Autobahn GmbH. "The A14 has been open to traffic again in the affected section in the direction of Magdeburg since 5.45 p.m. and in the direction of Leipzig since 7.20 p.m." A bridge at the Gröbers junction had been demolished. As a result, the section of highway between the Halle/Peißen junction and the Schkeuditzer Kreuz junction was closed.
According to the information provided, there are still minor restrictions. In the area of the Gröbers junction, the left lane will remain closed for a few hundred meters and there will also be speed limits. "These measures are expected to be lifted by the middle of next week at the latest," it said.
