The world's largest computer games fair opens its doors in Cologne in just a few days. Visitors will also be able to meet developers and companies from Saxony.

Developer teams, companies and institutions from Saxony will also be exhibiting at the Gamescom computer games trade fair in the coming days. A joint stand brings together 24 exhibitors - five more than last year, according to the Saxony Economic Development Corporation. These include the company Fusionplay from Leipzig with the game "Nice Day for Fishing".

"The games industry is an asset for Leipzig as a business location," explained Anja Hähle-Posselt, head of the city's Office for Economic Development. "Through our involvement, we are increasing the visibility of Leipzig's companies and hope to make contact with companies looking to relocate here." The online platform "Next Level: Saxony" will be presented for this purpose. It offers a network and information on financial support.
