First one side, then the other: The next closures on the A14 are due to bridge work. Drivers will also have to allow more time on the A9 in the Leipzig area.

Road users on the autobahn 14 must be prepared for further restrictions: Following the current closure in the direction of Schwerin, the opposite direction will now also be closed. As announced by Autobahn GmbH, the A14 in the direction of Magdeburg (Halle) will be fully closed between the Lüderitz and Tangerhütte junctions from Monday morning (April 20, around 8:00 a.m.) until Friday afternoon (April 24, around 12:00 p.m.). The reason for this is work on bridges.

The opposite direction between Tangerhütte and Lüderitz has already been closed since Monday for similar work. According to Autobahn GmbH, however, the two closures will take place one after the other and not at the same time. The current closure in the direction of Schwerin should therefore be completed before the section in the direction of Magdeburg is fully closed.

Routing via federal and country roads

For the duration of the new closure, traffic will be diverted off the freeway at the Lüderitz junction and routed via the B189 and the L38 to Tangerhütte. There, it will be possible to rejoin the A14 in the direction of Magdeburg.

A9 near Leipzig also affected

There are also restrictions on the A9 in the Leipzig area. Between the Schkeuditzer Kreuz junction and Leipzig-West, there will be obstructions in the direction of Halle in the evening and night hours until Friday (April 17). In addition, the Großkugel exit in the direction of Munich will be closed from Monday evening (April 20, around 6 p.m.) until Wednesday morning (April 22, around 8 a.m.).
