The Leipzig/Halle Airport employee who discovered a drone carrying an explosive device on a runway early Wednesday morning was very lucky. According to dpa information from security sources, he kicked the drone out of the air and brought it down to the ground.
According to the Saxony State Criminal Police Office, he had spotted the drone on the “South Runway.” According to security sources, it was located near a Ukrainian Antonov AN-124 Condor transport aircraft. Specialists from the Federal Police defused the explosive device.
