In 2025, 21,360 students graduated from universities in Saxony. That was about ten percent more than the previous year, according to the State Statistical Office in Kamenz.
Nearly half of the students (10,394) earned a university degree. One-third (6,921) earned a degree from a university of applied sciences. In addition, there were degrees in the arts, as well as successful teacher certification exams and doctoral degrees.
Just under 3,800 degrees were earned by international students. Most of them came from China (609) and India (492).
