Technical problems - highway near Dresden closed

The A17 is closed in both directions due to technical problems on the highway tunnels near Dresden. Traffic is being diverted, according to the police traffic warning service. Drivers who are familiar with the area should take a wide detour around the area.

A technical defect in the so-called tunnel chain was reported in the morning, said a spokesperson at the Dresden police situation center. The police then organized a detour. The stretch between Dresden-Gorbitz and Dresden-Südvorstadt was closed.

There are three tunnels in quick succession on the A17 near Dresden. The highway leads from the Saxon state capital to the Czech Republic.
