Rail passengers should expect service disruptions today on the route between Magdeburg and Hanover. Deutsche Bahn announced that the disruptions are due to repair work on the overhead lines. Some ICE and IC trains are canceled or being rerouted. According to media reports, the overhead lines were damaged by a freight train.
Among the routes affected is the Leipzig–Magdeburg–Hanover–Dortmund line. According to reports, delays of about 30 minutes are expected. Travelers should check their connections before departure. Work is underway to resolve the disruption.
