The third edition in Dresden will once again feature Olympic champions.

An elite field of competitors will gather at the Dresden City Biathlon on August 23. The German Ski Association is sending four top athletes: Philipp Nawrath, Justus Strelow, Vanessa Voigt, and Janina Hettich-Walz. They will face strong international competition, including French overall World Cup winner and two-time Olympic champion Éric Perrot and Olympic pursuit champion Lisa Vittozzi from Italy.

“The City Biathlon Dresden is a special event for us at the German Ski Association—elite sports right in the heart of the city, a unique atmosphere, and a stage where our athletes can showcase their skills in front of a home crowd. At the same time, the international field of competitors in Dresden serves as a true benchmark and thus provides a valuable opportunity to assess our standing in the summer,” said the new sports director, Bernd Eisenbichler.
