In injury time, Dynamo Dresden missed out on an important victory in the relegation battle in the 2nd Bundesliga. Despite a strong first half and a 3:1 lead, the visitors had to settle for a 3:3 (3:1) draw at Karlsruher SC. Following a video review, KSC were awarded a penalty in the thrilling final phase. Captain Marvin Wanitzek (90.+4) equalized with his second converted penalty of the afternoon.
Dynamo had already looked like winners thanks to two goals from Niklas Hauptmann. Hauptmann scored in the third minute, with KSC substitute goalkeeper Robin Himmelmann looking unlucky on his debut for the Baden side.
